Firefighter owned. Christmas lights are all we do.

A Johnson County crew that shows up in October and is still on your roof in January.

Meet Tommy

Tommy O'Leary, owner

After high school I started plumbing houses. I didn't exactly know what I wanted to do as a career. I saw a guy on social media who was cleaning windows and sharing how much he was making, so I decided to give that a try.

The window cleaning went well enough that I stopped plumbing. Around the same time, I was taking EMT and fire classes, hoping to become a firefighter. My first winter, the cleaning slowed down more than I expected, so I started a Christmas lighting business out of necessity. Over the next few years the lighting outgrew the window cleaning, so we sold that company and now just do lights.

I'm 23 now, I work full-time for a fire district in Johnson County, and I'm still growing the Christmas lighting business — with plans for it to be the biggest in the Kansas City area.

Why we only do Christmas lights.

Most companies in Kansas City hang lights to get through the winter. They're landscapers in the spring, gutter guys in the fall, and gone by January. We built this business around one season and one job, which is why we can cut every strand to your roof, come out next day when something goes dark, and still be on a ladder taking it all down after New Year's.

Firefighter owned

I work full-time for a fire district in Johnson County, and three of our installers are employed by that same district. We're proud to have that many firefighters on the crew — they were chosen to protect 58,000 residents in a safe, professional, and respectful manner, which is the same standard they bring to your roof.

Award-winning

We won the 2025 Under 30 Entrepreneur Merit Award in the Kansas to the Stars Business Awards, the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce's 2024 Under 30 Business of the Year, and were a Next Gen Under 30 honoree.

The Crew

The crew

All of our installers are also current employees at my fire district. I train them myself, so if they meet my standards, they'll far surpass what most homeowners expect. Crew photos are on the way once this season's orientation wraps up.
